Sunset over the bay. It's almost time to head for home and here's what I won't be doing. I won't be coming back to East Winchester and telling you we are doing it all wrong, because you know what? We are not doing it wrong. What I have learned is that it does no harm to look at what we do and then ask why are we doing this? Is this what we want and need to do? Is this where our future lies? How did Christians before us do it? St. Gregory's has taken a path with careful consideration of why and how they do things, and how they live out the Gospel during the week, not just on Sundays. Their liturgy is steeped in ancient theology and yet makes sense in today's California. When I get back I look forward to showing you what they have done and why, but with no thought of saying we should do it this way. We are both looking forward to being back "among our ain folk" Margaret.
